About
This page covers my manisfesto, so to speak.
The reason I say ‘so to speak’ is because my manifesto is a simple platform, and it’s this –
For every vote on legislation in Parliament, my MP vote will be decided by the constituency.
Not by me.
Not by any party leadership.
This is proper represention of the consituency, which is what I think an MP is there to do.
I don’t believe any Party MP can do this, as they are obliged to follow the party line.
This has been exemplified by the current MP, Labour’s Paul Clark.
His public record on voting shows tha since 1997 he has voted over 99% with Labour.
However, in 2005 in Gillingham, only 41% voted Labour, with 59% voting for someone else.
Those 2 facts to do not make proper representation.
If the constituency said to him that he should vote against Labour, his record shows that his answer would be ‘no’.
I offer the chance to have your say on every legislation over the whole term of parliament.
This is a great opportunity for the voters of the Gillingham and Rainham constituency.
